Radio Has Been My Foundation

I’ve worked in radio for more than 30 years—and in that time, I’ve worn just about every hat the industry offers. I started in market research for Corus Entertainment, studying how people listen, why they choose certain stations, and what actually moves an audience to take action.

From there, I moved into radio advertising sales, working with stations across Alberta—big-city frequencies to quiet rural communities, and every kind of small-town station in between. That experience taught me something no textbook ever could: how local businesses think, and how local audiences respond.

I have learned the rhythms of dayparts, the importance of frequency, and the subtle difference between an ad people hear and an ad people remember. I saw firsthand how radio—done well—can change the trajectory of a business.

And while radio was my foundation, digital became my evolution.

I’ve been working in digital marketing since 1998 and built my first websites in Dreamweaver. I ran campaigns on Facebook when it was the only social media channel. And I’ve been integrating radio and digital together long before it became standard practice.

Fast forward to today:
I bring every chapter of that experience into the work I do.
